Jewish Federation of Greater Portland-Sponsored Workshop with Dr. Yosef Rosen and Rabbi Adina Allen
Dec. 5-7, Camp Solomon Schechter, Seattle, WA
A 90-minute journey into ruach — divine breath — where improvisation becomes prayer, creativity, and exaltation through sound, led by creator Aaron Kahn.
Aaron Kahn leads a 90-minute exploration of improvisation as one of the purest forms of Jewish creativity — where breath, spirit, and sound meet in real time. Through a brief talk on ruach (divine breath) and guided creative practice, participants open to deep listening, trust, and spontaneity as spiritual pathways. Inspired by 2 Chronicles 7:6, the session culminates in an improvised trumpet performance — a living expression of tehillah (praise), ranan (joyful song), and romemut (exaltation).
